'Flops Fighting Cancer' Receives Recognition with Cook Children's Infusion Center Renaming

Hari Mari and Cook Children’s Medical Center have announced the renaming of the prominent North Texas hospital’s infusion center after the premium footwear brand, in recognition for its efforts alongside Cook Children’s to combat pediatric cancer.

For its near decade-long existence, Hari Mari’s Flops Fighting Cancer initiative has seen a portion of the brand’s annual sales go toward supplementing medical treatment costs for Cook Children’s pediatric oncology and hematology patients.

“Since 2012, Cook Children’s has been proud to partner with Hari Mari and their Flops Fighting Cancer. As Hari Mari has grown, so too has our friendship with their incredible team. We have enjoyed being a part of this company’s growth over the last 9 years, and will continue to cheer our friends at Hari Mari on every step of the way. From everyone at Cook Children’s, congratulations, Hari Mari!” Said Grant Harris, Senior Vice President, Cook Children’s Health Foundation.

The Hari Mari Infusion Center is where Cook Children’s Pediatric patients go to receive the necessary medicine, radiation and chemotherapy to fight this disease. The center is an integral part of the hospital as it also hosts children from the cardiology and neurology centers as well, caring for thousands of patients annually.

“Hari Mari has had the distinct honor to work with the incredible leadership & staff at Cook Children’s to positively affect the lives of many brave kids battling to overcome cancer,” said Lila Stewart, Hari Mari’s co-founder. “Albeit a small part in the bigger picture of patient treatment, Hari Mari’s just so incredibly proud to know and have an association with so many heroes on both sides of that medical relationship – patient, parents, doctors and nurses alike.”
