For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re partnering with Wipe Out Kids Cancer to highlight some incredible Flops Fighting Cancer Warriors. We’re kicking this series off with 14-year-old, Jaxon Starling. 

When Jaxon was 12-years-old, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Osteosarcoma. Although this diagnosis threw the Starling family for an unexpected turn, they never lost hope in his ability to overcome the challenge.  

But, Jaxon is more than his diagnosis. Jaxon is a freshman in high school who is obsessed with digital animation, loves reading, and spending time with his family!  

Here are a few more fun facts about Jax:

• Favorite movie: Over the Hedge.

• Favorite sport: Golf, so catch him on the greens.

• Hobbies: reading and playing video games.

• Favorite sibling: his eldest brother who just enlisted in the air force.

• How does he find joy?: building up others helps him forget about his own battles.

Jaxon is currently still in the fight against cancer, and yet he does not allow this or anything else to waver his smile and joyful spirit. 

Jaxon, you are an inspiration to us all and the true definition of a warrior. We can’t wait to see you change the world some day.
